Your Ashland site can display manually added Testimonials.
As you begin adding testimonials, you'll automatically create a testimonials archive page here, mysite.com/testimonials , where all of your testimonials will be displayed.
Here's a sample below of the Testimonials page on the TRIBUS demo site.
Each testimonial can include the following:
- Buyer's names
- Close date
- Text content
- A photo
- Links to the testimonial on other real estate/review web sites (RealSatisfied, Yelp, Google+, and Zillow)
You may also opt to display Testimonials on your website's home page with the Testimonials widget.
Add a Testimonial
To add a Testimonial, navigate to the backend of your website (mywebsite.com/wp-admin) OR from the front-end of your website, click "New" in the admin toolbar along the top of the page and click "Testimonial" (shown below).
Using the "Womack Family" testimonial from the first image above as an example, we'll show you how the back-end editor looks for that testimonial in two screenshots.
If the text content of the testimonial is particularly long, you can enter a snippet of it in the Excerpt box at the bottom of the page. The excerpt is the text that will display on the Home Page, if you opt to use the home page widget.
Publish or Save for Later
The "Publish" options for Testimonials are exactly the same as the standard blog Posts. When you're happy with your testimonial, click . To save without publishing the review, click .
Testimonials page - Sort Order
Similar to blog posts, Testimonials on the mysite.com/testimonials page will be displayed in chronological order by default, with the most recently added testimonials displaying first.
You can manually arrange your testimonials by editing the publish date or time. In the Publish box, click "Edit" to reveal the date/time. Choose a future date/time for each of the testimonials you want to arrange. Just remember that the ones you want to appear first should have the latest date/time.
