What is a task?
Put most simply, a task is something that needs to get done. TRIBUS Tasks allows you to create an unlimited number of tasks, and easily manage them from the back-end of your website.
Who can create tasks?
Like most aspects of the TRIBUS CRM, admins and super users can create and manage tasks and assign them to anyone in the network. On the other hand, agents may create and manage tasks for themselves.
Where can I find Tasks?
The Tasks module can be found in your sidebar under the TRIBUS CRM menu.
The Tasks Archive
Below is a view of the Tasks archive page. From here you can view open (unfinished) or completed tasks. The default view of the archive is currently open tasks, and the sort order is by due date, so the most overdue tasks will appear first, and the tasks with due dates farthest into the future will appear last. The "Due" column header can be clicked to reverse this default sort order.
Managing Tasks
Because tasks can only exist in two states: open or complete, managing tasks is quite simple. When a task is created, its status is open. To complete a task, just click the checkbox next to the task. This will remove the task from the list of open tasks.
Creating a Task
From the Tasks archive, click "Add New," and complete at least the required fields, denoted with an asterisk (*). Tasks may be linked to an existing lead in the CRM, or to a listing/transaction.
Admins and super users may create tasks for any agents within the network, while agents may only create their own tasks.
How to use Tasks
Tasks are great for putting your most important to-do items right where you can see them. In fact, there's also a Tasks widget for the Intranet dashboard. If you don't see the widget on your dashboard, ask an admin at your office to add it.
New tasks can be created by anyone. Agents can create their own tasks. Admins and Super Users can create tasks and assign them to agents or other admins.
To view the details of an existing task, click the task name.
To edit a task, click . To delete a task, click
*
Note* If you're an agent, you may only delete tasks you've created. If a task was assigned to you by an admin, you can only edit or complete that task.
To view completed tasks, click the Status dropdown at the top of the Tasks archive and choose Status: Completed. To re-open a task, navigate to your list of Completed tasks and un-check the box.
